新角龙类（Neoceratopsia）是角龙下目的一个演化支，生存于白垩纪早到末期，分布于现今的北美洲与东亚，南半球曾发现可疑的新角龙类化石。新角龙类包含大部分的角龙类，除了鹦鹉嘴龙等原始物种以外。
叙述
新角龙类是群衍化的角龙类恐龙。身体逐渐朝大型演化发展，头部也逐渐变大，逐渐从二足动物演化成四足动物。喙骨（Rostral bone）呈龙骨状，前端尖。前上颌骨的牙齿小，或是没有。方轭骨大幅缩小。顶骨与鳞状骨构成头盾。鼻部或眼睛上方具有隆起。前三节颈椎固定成单一个，可用来支撑大型的头部。颈部后段关节的踝状突，允许颈部做出大范围的动作。肱骨有肱骨头。坐骨小幅弯曲。
分类
新角龙类是由保罗·塞里诺（Paul Sereno）在1986年提出，范围是包含：角龙下目之中，所有亲缘关系接近恐怖三角龙，但离蒙古鹦鹉嘴龙较远的所有物种[1]。
依照这个定义，新角龙类包含古角龙、辽宁角龙、冠饰角龙类：冠饰角龙类又包含纤角龙科、原角龙科、角龙科。
朝阳龙与宣化角龙是否属于新角龙类，仍有争议。在2004年，尤海鲁等人提出朝阳龙是原始的新角龙类[1]。在2006年，宣化角龙的叙述者赵喜进等人则指出，朝阳龙与宣化角龙比鹦鹉嘴龙科原始，不属于新角龙类[2]。
