彼得·保羅·蒙哥馬利·布塔朱吉（英語：Peter Paul Montgomery Buttigieg，/ˈbuːtəˌdʒɛdʒ/；1982年1月19日—），美國民主黨籍政治人物，現任美國運輸部長，曾擔任印第安納州南湾市市長，丈夫是名中學教師。[2]2020年12月，即將上台的民主黨籍總統喬·拜登宣布提名布塔朱吉出任新政府的運輸部長，隔年2月2日，參議院經投票確認程序通過對布塔朱吉的人事任命，使其正式就任。

生平

布塔朱吉出生於印第安納州南湾，其父母約瑟夫·布塔朱吉（Joseph Buttigieg）與珍妮佛·安妮·蒙哥馬利（Jennifer Anne Montgomery）皆為聖母大學教授。2004年，他以極優等（magna cum laude）成績畢業於哈佛大學，獲歷史與文學學士學位[3]。2005年夏天，布塔朱吉在突尼西亞學習了阿拉伯語[4]。此後他以羅德學者身份赴英國留學，2007年獲牛津大學彭布羅克學院哲學、政治學及經濟學文學學士學位。[3][5]

2009年起，布塔朱吉出任美國海軍預備役情報官。2011年11月，他當選家鄉南湾的市長，當時年僅29歲的布塔朱吉成為了10萬人口以上的美國城市中最年輕的市長。[6][7]2014年，他曾作為海軍上尉赴阿富汗服役。[8]2015年，他公開出櫃。[9]同年，再度當選南湾市長。[10]2018年6月，他與中學教師查斯坦·格雷斯曼（Chasten Glezman, 1989年6月23日-）[11]結婚。[12]

2018年12月，布塔朱吉表示他將不再尋求連任南湾市長。[13]2019年1月，他宣布將角逐2020年美國總統選舉民主黨提名，由此他也成為了歷史上首位公開出櫃的民主黨總統候選人。[14]民主黨首四場初選中，他在愛荷華州以26.2%的得票率領先，在新罕布夏州次於伯尼·桑德斯排名第二，但在內華達與南卡羅來納兩州的名次不佳。2020年3月1日，彼得·布塔朱吉宣布退出民主黨總統初選。

2021年2月2日，美國國會參議院以86票支持、13票反對通過彼得·布塔朱吉出任美國運輸部長。

個人生活

布塔朱吉是基督徒[15][16]，他認為信仰對他的生活有很大的影響。他在嬰兒時期就在天主教堂受洗，並就讀天主教學校[16]。在牛津大學期間，他常去基督堂座堂，回到南湾後，他覺得自己「或多或少是聖功宗教派」[17][18][19]。

除了母語英語以外，他也會說一些挪威語、西班牙語、義大利語、馬爾他語、阿拉伯語、達利語和法語[20][21]。他會彈吉他和鋼琴[22][23]，並於2013年在南湾交響樂團的演出中，客串鋼琴獨奏，與賓·佛德斯一同演出[24][25]。他也是2014年阿斯彭研究所的研究員（Rodel Fellow）[26]。
