美瑾年僅11歲時，曾寫信給當時的第一夫人希拉里和肥皂商，成功地讓一家廣告商更改了一個被她發現存在性別歧視內容的全國性電視廣告[54]。

頭銜和稱號

在她和哈里王子結婚的當日早晨，白金漢宮宣佈女皇伊利莎白二世授予哈里修適士公爵，東寶庭伯爵，奇基爾男爵的頭銜。[65]作為王子的配偶，美瑾也會得到相應的配偶頭銜（即登巴頓伯爵夫人與奇基爾男爵夫人）。由於第一個獲封修適士公爵的奧古斯都王子受限於1772年皇室成員婚姻法，其配偶無法獲得公爵夫人的頭銜，因此美瑾是史上第一位修適士公爵夫人。

  • 2018年5月25號，肯辛頓宮發佈了修適士公爵夫人的紋章。盾形紋章的左半部來自哈里王子的紋章；右半部中，藍色的底象徵與公爵夫人故鄉加州相鄰的太平洋，兩道黃色的斜紋象徵加州的陽光，三根羽毛則象徵溝通和文字的力量。紋章底部則繪有花菱草與蠟梅，其中，花菱草是加州的州花，而蠟梅則是肯辛頓宮中的植物。左方的護盾獸是代表皇室、哈里王子的獅子，右邊的護盾獸則是公爵夫人選擇的鳴禽[67]。
