本信息框模板适用于人类聚落（城市、城镇、村落等）的条目中，也可用于行政区、郡、省等等。实际上，任何国家以下的行政区都可使用本信息框。以下的表格将解说各参数的意义和使用方式。

使用方式

  • 注意：在使用#expr:计算的参数（例如人口、面积、高度等）输入数值时，如果出现“表达式错误”，请使用“无格式”的数字，不要在中间加入“,”，例如应使用10000，而非10,000。（如问题已修正，可忽略本提示。）


参数名称及描述

official_name 缺少“name”时必填 官方名称（可能需要使用 模板链接：{{lang}} 模板）
other_name 选填 其他名称，有旧名或几个名称的城市使用，如孟买、西贡
native_name 选填 当地语言的地名（可用native_name_lang参数指明语言）。在name或official name下显示（可能需要使用 模板链接：{{lang}} 模板）。
settlement_type 选填 可填任何类型，例如市、城市、镇、村等。如果“name”参数也有填写的话，此参数若有填写则以显示内容。如果population_metro、population_urban、population_rural其中至少一项有填写，则settlement_type（或type）的填入文字会在“人口”段显示代替“总计”。area_metro_km2、area_urban_km2等如有填写，则settlement_type（或type）的填入文字也会在“面积”段出现。如果有需要，可另填total_type改变在“面积”、“人口”段的显示文字。

如果留空，则使用Wikidata的#property:P31生成显示文字。

total_type 选填 指定在“面积”、“人口”段的总数一行显示哪些文字，例如填"大伦敦"就会以大伦敦取代“总计”或settlement_type的文字。未有填写则设为空格，并造成总人口和“人口”二字在同一行显示。
nickname 选填 有名的䁥称
motto 选填 在䁥称下方显示格言
translit_lang1 选填 在Will place the "entry" before the word "transliteration(s)". Can be used to specify a particular language like in Dêlêg or one may just enter "Other", like in Gaza's article.

pushpin_map 选填 Category:地理位置图模板或其子分类内的地理位置图名称，例如 Indonesia 或 USA California。地理位置图的图标位置由coordinates参数值或Wikidata的P625值（如coordinates参数留空）指定。如指定的location map不存在，会产生“表达式错误”。 不适用
pushpin_label_position 选填 地图上标示文字位置（相对于图标）。填写 {left, right, top, bottom, none} 其中一个。none是无文字。留空则预设为 right（右）。 不适用
pushpin_mapsize 选填 纯数字，请勿加px（否则图标位置可能有错），预设为250。 不适用

地理资讯

面积项目提供自动单位换算，只要指定公制数值，就会自动产生英制数值，反之亦然。自动计算数值准确至小数点后1个数位。如果不想用自动转换（例如想增加小数点后数位），可在相关项目填入想显示的资料。

coor_pinpoint 选填 If needed, to specify more exactly where (or what) coordinates are given (e.g. Town Hall) or a specific place in a larger area (e.g. a city in a county). Example: Masovian Voivodeship Deprecated name =coor_type

人口资讯

各“密度”项目配有公制－英制的自动转换，只要指定公制数值，就会自动产生英制数值，反之亦然。如果不想用自动转换，可在相关“密度”项目填入想显示的资料。如要自动计算密度，在任何“密度”项目内填 auto （准确度为两个有效数字）。

至少有12个模板使用了本模板中的参数，有多个模板重定向至本模板。

微格式

本模板产生的HTML记号包含了HCard 微格式，能够让电脑解析地点名称和位置，具有可自动将文章分类至适当类别的功能。在HCard中有Geo微格式，能让电脑分析经纬度资料，因此可在地图上查询，或下载至全球定位系统（GPS）装置。关于微格式的更多使用资讯。
