红喉潜鸟（学名：Gavia stellata）是分布最广的一种潜鸟，也是潜鸟科最小的成员。主要繁殖于欧亚大陆和加拿大的北极地区，在海岸和大湖地带过冬，例如中国东部。它们主要在淡水繁殖，但也在海中觅食。
特征
红喉潜鸟通常体长55-67厘米，翼宽91-110厘米。繁殖期的成年红喉潜鸟为灰头、粗颈、红喉、白腹、深色翅膀。非繁殖期的羽毛则要暗淡许多。虹膜为红色。体重在1-1.2千克。鸣声很大。
食性
和所有潜鸟一样，以鱼类为主要食物，可以潜入7.5米的水中觅食。
