孔雀石绿（malachite green，aniline green）又称孔雀绿，IUPAC名称 4-[(4-dimethylaminophenyl)-phenyl-methyl]-N,N-dimethyl-aniline，是一种有毒的三苯甲烷类人工合成有机化合物，既是染料，也是消毒剂，可致癌。其制成可由1摩尔的苯甲醛和2摩尔的二甲苯胺在浓盐酸混合下，加热缩合成隐色素碱，在酸性下加过氧化铅使其氧化，并在溶液中沉淀出色素碱。

虽然称作孔雀石绿，但其实它不含有孔雀石（水合碱式碳酸铜）的成分，只是两者颜色相似而已。孔雀石主要用于铜的提炼和供作颜料，并不用于水产养殖业。

杀菌剂

孔雀石绿是带有金属光泽的绿色晶体，可用作治理鱼类或鱼卵的寄生虫、真菌或细菌感染，如鱼场的鱼卵容易感染的真菌Saprolegnia。孔雀石绿也常用作处理受寄生虫影响的淡水水产。但对于脂鲤和鲶鱼等海产，孔雀石绿有高度毒性、高残留等副作用。

加拿大在1992年发现人类若进食含孔雀石绿的鱼类，会对健康构成重大影响，主要是孔雀石绿中的三苯甲烷基团可引致肝癌。因此，孔雀石绿被列为第二类危险物品，很多国家已经禁用。不过，基于孔雀石绿低廉的生产成本及容易使用，不少监管较弱的国家依然在使用中，有渔民在防治鱼类感染真菌时使用，也有运输商用作消毒，以延长鱼类在长途贩运中的存活时间。

染剂

孔雀石绿可用作生物染色剂，把细胞或细胞组织染成蓝绿色，方便在显微镜下研究。孔雀石绿也用作丝绸、皮革和纸张的染料。要制造孔雀石绿染料，首先将其溶于热草酸溶液，冷却后得草酸盐的结晶，或用盐酸中和后，加定量的氯化锌结晶出氯化锌复盐，成为绿色碱性染料。
