Windows Internet Explorer 7（簡稱IE7）是微軟所開發的一套使用GUI的網頁瀏覽器，它是Internet Explorer系列中的一部份。這個軟件於2006年10月18日首次發行適用於Windows的版本，之後就沒有再發行過次要更新版本了。它是Internet Explorer自Internet Explorer 6版本推出五年以來的一次重大版本更新。

它內建於Windows Vista以及Windows Server 2008來當做預設的網頁瀏覽器，同時也提供給Windows XP SP2和Windows Server 2003當作取代舊版Internet Explorer的更新。自Internet Explorer 7起，不支援Windows XP SP1及更舊版本的Windows。

歷史

2005年2月15日，在三藩市舉行的RSA會議上，微軟主席比爾·蓋茨宣佈微軟計劃將在Windows XP上推出新版的Internet Explorer^[1]。他和Internet Explorer團隊總經理迪安·哈查莫維奇都認為改進安全性是推出新版本的主要原因^[2]。

IE7的第一個測試版於2005年7月27日發佈，用於技術測試，Internet Explorer 7的第一個公開預覽版本（Beta 2 preview: Pre-Beta 2 version）於2006年1月31日發佈^[3]。

最終正式版本於2006年10月18日發佈^[4]。同一天，Yahoo!提供了與Yahoo!工具列捆綁的Internet Explorer 7測試版本以及其他Yahoo!特色的客製化。

2007年10月8日，微軟移除了IE7的Windows Genuine Advantage元件，可以讓非正版的Windows用戶也能下載和安裝^[5]。

2007年底，微軟宣佈IE7不會被包含在Windows XP SP3中，Internet Explorer 6和7都會接收更新^[6]。然而，大多數個人電腦製造商已經在新的XP個人電腦上預裝了Internet Explorer 7（以及8），尤其是手提電腦。

2008年12月16日，Internet Explorer 7發現了一個安全漏洞，該漏洞可以被利用以便破解者可以竊取用戶的密碼^[7]。第二天，發佈了修復漏洞的修補程式，估計該漏洞已經影響了大約一萬個網站^[8]。

截至2012年5月 (2012-05)^[update]，IE7的全球市場佔有率約為1.5-5%^[9]^[10]^[11]。
