ITV2是英国的一个免费电视频道，由独立电视公司的子公司ITV数位频道所有[1]。ITV2开播于1998年12月7日，曾长期是英国五个无线类比电视频道之外收视率最高的电视频道（但现在被其姊妹频道ITV3超过）[2]。

ITV2主要播出面向16至34岁观众的节目，其中不少是美国进口节目，包括《绯闻女孩》和《吸血鬼日记》，以及成人动画节目（如《盖酷家庭》和《特工老爹》）。ITV2也重播ITV主频道的肥皂剧和娱乐节目，如《加冕街》和《爱默戴尔》。ITV2亦播出原创娱乐节目，如《名人果汁》和《爱岛》。

历史

在1982年第四台开播之前，“ITV2”有时被用来指代英国第二个商业电视网。1990年代后期，“ITV2”这一名词重新出现。当时英国即将开始地面数码电视，各无线电视企业因此获得部分带宽，可用于播出新的频道。格拉纳达、卡尔顿和联合新闻媒体因此在1998年共同开播了ITV2。虽然ITV2现在是一个娱乐频道，但在1998年开播时是一个综合频道。当时新闻节目占据了ITV2节目表的重要部分[3]。此外当时的ITV2还播出《骇人命案事件簿》、《摩斯探长》、《法官朱迪》等节目，以及肥皂剧《爱默戴尔》和《加冕街》的剪辑版，周六足球赛果[4]。

独立电视公司在2006年10月30日开播了ITV2的一小时时移频道，并于2008年3月17日实现时移频道的24小时播出[5]。

除了英国本国之外，爱尔兰[6][7]、瑞士等国亦可观看ITV2[8]。

自2012年2月29日开始，ITV2可以在海峡群岛上的Freeview上观看。在此之前数月，独立电视公司并购了海峡电视[9]。

奖项

ITV2在2007年获得广播数位奖的年度频道奖[10]，并在2013年再次获奖[11]。ITV2还在2007年的爱丁堡国际电视节上获得年度非无线电视频道奖[12]。

批评

2014年，ITV2因《Dapper Laughs: On the Pull》节目而受到争议。该节目因宣传对女性的暴力而受到批评。一份要求停播该节目的请愿书有多达68,210人签字[13]。ITV未续约该节目的第二季[14]。

ITV2 HD

ITV2 HD是ITV2的高画质同步播出频道，自2010年10月7日开始播出[18][19][20][21][22]。

品牌

在其刚开播时，ITV2的标志和ITV主频非常类似。在纽卡斯尔联足球俱乐部参加2004–05年欧洲足协杯时，该频道曾在比赛日更名为ITV Toon（取自于纽卡斯尔联的昵称“the Toon”），频道的代表色也从黄蓝改为黑白（纽卡斯尔联的代表色）[23]。

作为ITV刷新企业形象的一环，ITV2在2013年1月14日变更了标志。频道口号改为“the home of infectious entertainment（感动娱乐之家”，并启用了红色的新标志[24]。

2015年8月12日，ITV2更新了频道形象，频道标志字体未变，但颜色从红色改为绿松色[25]。
