开后圆唇元音（open back rounded vowel、low back rounded vowel[1]）是母音的一种，用于一些口说语言当中，国际音标以⟨ɒ⟩代表此音，而X-SAMPA音标则以⟨Q⟩代表此音。⟨ɒ⟩这符号又称作“倒转手写体a”，因为它可说是“手写体a”（实为Latin Alpha）的倒转版本。直线在左的“倒转手写体a”，不当和直线在右的“手写体a”，也就是ɑ混淆，“手写体a”表开后不圆唇元音，亦与此音不同。

虽然见于部分英语方言中，但高度圆唇化的/ɒ/是很少见的。在多数有此音的语言，如英语和波斯语中，/ɒ/只是稍微圆唇化而已；然而阿萨姆语据称有个“高度圆唇的”/ɒ̹/，此音发音时，圆唇度就如/u/一般。

特征

  • 其元音舌位是后，表示舌头的位置会尽可能地朝向口腔后部，但不至于阻碍气流而被归类为子音。
  • 其圆唇度为圆唇元音，这表示嘴唇向前突起并圆形的开口，且唇内侧并不露出。
