此短片显示邻近太阳周围的恒星。

这份清单包含距离太阳系5秒差距(16.3光年)内所有已知的恒星和棕矮星。除了太阳系之外,目前已知在这个距离内还有56个恒星系统。这些系统共包含60颗进行氢融合的恒星(其中50颗是红矮星)、13颗棕矮星和4颗白矮星。尽管这些天体相对而言都很接近地球,但是只有9颗的视星等小于6.5等,这意味着这些天体只有大约12%是可以用裸眼看见[1]。除了太阳之外,只有三颗是明亮的1等星南门二(半人马座α星)、天狼星(大犬座α星)、和南河三(小犬座α星)。这些天体全部都位于银河系猎户臂本地泡

近距离恒星图

下图是距离太阳在14光年以内的32颗恒星位置图,双星和三合星会以实际的数量推叠,但真实的位置是以最靠近中心平面的那一颗为准,颜色则与上面的表相对应。
