木霉菌属（学名：Trichoderma），是肉座菌科下的一个属，是一属生长快速且普遍存在环境中的腐生性丝状真菌，如土壤、空气、植物残骸枯枝落叶、各种酦酵物上，或是植物根圈、叶片、种子及球茎表面。

木霉菌最大的特色就是超寄生，入侵其他真菌的菌丝中，与作物的病原真菌结抗，是目前最普遍应用的生物性杀菌剂真菌菌种。

形态特征

菌丝：无色，分支错综复杂，菌落棉絮状。无性态的木霉菌，在产孢前是白色，产孢后变成绿色。

分生孢子梗：其形态为直立或微弯、有次级分支。

瓶状孢子梗：略呈圆锥，长在分生孢子梗两侧、可能是单生或是丛生。

瓶状孢子：(黄)绿色(椭)圆形，有黏性，单孢单室，集结于瓶梗。

厚膜孢子：透明无色的圆形或卵圆形孢子，其外壁光滑、可能为间生或顶生。^[1]

木霉菌的有性世代及无性世代有不同的分类：

无性世代—不完全菌门、丝孢纲、丛梗孢目、木霉菌属。

有性世代—子囊菌门、核菌纲、肉座菌目、肉座菌属。^[1]

生物防治之作用机制

产生抗生素：
- 木霉菌所产生的抗生素可抑制病原真菌孢子的发芽和菌丝的生长。
竞争养分：
- 木霉菌和病原真菌竞争孢子发芽、生长、代谢所需之养分，达到抑制其发展的效果。
细胞壁分解酵素：
- 分解病原真菌的细胞壁，使其无法生长。包含几丁质分解酵素和多糖分解酵素。植物体、放线菌、细菌和其他真菌，也可能会有这种酵素。若把产生几丁质分解酵素的基因植入植物体中也有防治病原真菌的效果。
超寄生的四部曲：
- 第一步—趋化生长：木霉菌趋往产生化学刺激物的病原菌生长
- 第二步—辨识：病原菌所含有的聚血素和结抗菌表面的受体有专一性的配对。
- 第三步—接触+分解细胞壁
- 第四步—穿刺：产生很像附着器的构造，入侵到病原真菌的菌丝中。
诱导植物产生抗性：
- 促进植物生长：
  - 减少次要或病征不明显的病原菌危害。
  - 促进养分吸收。
  - 提供生长激素、维生素等生长所需物。
  - 减少土中的有害物浓度。
- 让植物产生木质化：使病原不易入侵。
