无宗教是指那些人们没有固定的宗教信仰，不属于任何一个宗教组织，包括但不等于是无神论者，无宗教亦包含不可知论者或有神论者。
定义
虽然被归类成无宗教的人们不遵循一特定宗教，但这不表示他们就完全不相信超自然或神。他们可能是没有特定宗教信仰或者不奉行宗教仪式的有神论者。特别是那些对宗教有负面评价，或者把宗教定义成“组织性的宗教”的人，他们可能有或可能没有精神上的信仰，但会说他们自己是无宗教信仰，不参加及不属于任何一个宗教组织。
有许多无宗教信仰者，仍然会仪式性地参加许多如婴儿洗礼、婚礼、丧礼等宗教礼节与祭祀等宗教活动，例如欧洲基督教国家中的无宗教信仰者中不少仍是天主教会、路德宗国教会、圣公宗国教会、东正教会成员，部分仍会在基督教主要节日如复活节和圣诞节到教堂参加崇拜。
宗教包括制度性宗教和非制度性宗教，声称不信教的人通常只是没有参与制度性宗教，而不是完全没有宗教行为，如许多日本人会按传统到神社参拜、许愿；许多中国大陆、香港和台湾等地的华人，在不少重要节日和传统节庆会到庙宇参拜，也会参加扫墓、祭祖或者中元普渡等祖先崇拜活动。
